I am writing this with a heavy heart and genuine fear, but also with faith. I am putting the community on notice because I need your protection.

Today, I am going to Florida Coast Medical Center, located at 310 SE Veranda Falls Way, Port St. Lucie, FL (near Becker Road). My purpose for this visit is simple: I need to get my eardrums and ears checked for cauliflower ear resulting from my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training.

To anyone else, this would be a routine medical visit. To me, it is terrifying.

To be clear — Florida Coast Medical Center is NOT one of the hospitals that wrongfully Baker Acted me. Those were New Horizons and Port St. Lucie Hospital. I’m going to Florida Coast for the first time and I’m hoping for a normal, safe experience. But given what I’ve been through, I need my community watching over me — just in case.

I have severe PTSD from hospitals. In the past, I have been wrongfully Baker Acted twice. The first time, I got into an argument with my wife. A neighbor called the cops. The police showed up and Baker Acted me — for a domestic argument that should never have resulted in involuntary commitment. This shows how corrupt the system is, how quickly cops abuse their power, and how the Baker Act is weaponized against ordinary people. The second time, I went to Port St. Lucie Hospital with severe chest pains, terrified I was having a heart attack. Hospital staff administered morphine to treat my cardiac issue. While still impaired from the morphine they gave me, I expressed my faith in Jesus Christ and mentioned I was ready to go to heaven if it was my time. Instead of recognizing this as a normal expression of faith, hospital staff weaponized my words. While I was impaired and unable to defend myself, they initiated a Baker Act hold against me. I was injected with additional medication and do not remember being transported to Port St. Lucie Behavioral Hospital. I woke up there, drugged and confused, with no memory of the transfer. They used their own medication against me.

These experiences have left deep scars. The medical system in Florida has repeatedly failed me and abused its power.
